Class Description: Join Shellie for a rejuvenating Hatha yoga class, now available online! Hatha yoga is a slower-paced practice where we hold poses a little longer than in Vinyasa yoga. This allows us to deepen our stretches and fully engage with each posture. By controlling our breath and breathing into each pose for a set amount of time, we can enhance our physical and mental well-being. What to Expect: Slower Pace: Unlike the fast-paced flow of Vinyasa, Hatha yoga focuses on holding poses longer, giving you time to explore and perfect each posture. Breath Control: Emphasis on breath control helps you connect more deeply with your body and mind, promoting relaxation and mindfulness. Effective Practice: Though it may be slower, Hatha yoga is just as effective in building strength, flexibility, and balance. Class Structure: Warm-Up: Gentle movements to prepare your body for the practice. Main Practice: A series of poses held for longer durations, with detailed instructions and modifications provided. Cool Down: Relaxing stretches and a brief meditation to conclude the session. Equipment: Please have a yoga mat and any props you may need, such as blocks or straps. Using your own equipment is encouraged. Platform: Classes will be conducted via Zoom. A link and passcode will be provided upon registration.
